The following resources are the result of efforts conducted under the Radicalization, Rehabilitation, Reintegration, and Recidivism Network (4R Network), a U.S.-based initiative aimed at creating a community of practice among those working to facilitate the rehabilitation and reintegration of individuals returning to the community after having been incarcerated for terrorism-related offenses.

General Knowledge Sessions
Effectively and efficiently supporting reintegration and rehabilitation efforts in a way that reduces the risk of recidivism and enhances public safety first requires framing the context appropriately and creating a synchronous ecosystem of actors. These sessions will serve to:
- Increase knowledge and awareness of evidence-based practices regarding reintegration and recidivism and bring knowledge and experience from multiple disciplines to make knowledge-construction transdisciplinary; and
- Enhance the capacity of civil society stakeholders to coordinate care with governmental stakeholders and provide effective rehabilitation and reintegration support services.

Special Knowledge Sessions
Most professionals and practitioners working with individuals who once joined an extremist group have not been trained to deal with the psychological or physical effects of trauma and stress, specifically when it comes to understanding the consequences that embracing extremist beliefs can have in an individual and how that damage can have long-term adverse consequences in their rehabilitation and reintegration process, including recidivism and other problem behaviors.
These special knowledge sessions were designed to equip professionals directly or indirectly involved in the rehabilitation and reintegration space with knowledge on how to best design and offer tailored mental health and psychosocial support services to address stigma as well as advance social, educational, and economic capital while building long-term resilience against extremism.
These materials are an adaptation of the Field Guide for Barefoot Psychology, developed by Beyond Conflict, an international NGO that focuses on applying brain and behavioral science to the realm of conflict resolution, peacebuilding, P/CVE, and violence prevention.
